APTA New York Announces the Hiring of a New Executive Director!

APTA New York is pleased to welcome Eileen Renaud as the new Executive Director for APTA New York. Eileen will begin her employment on Monday, July 17, 2023 and will take the reins from Kelly Garceau on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Prior to joining APTA, Eileen worked for New York Construction Materials Association (NYMaterials) since 2014; most recently serving as Vice President. In that role she had oversight of the Association’s Concrete Division. Eileen also managed NYMaterials annual conferences and national partnerships. She had varied fiduciary responsibilities, including budgets, retirement administration and investment accounts. Over the years, Eileen has advocated and negotiated on behalf of the membership with state agencies and legislators on a variety of topics. One of NYMaterials core missions is to improve the business climate for materials suppliers and much of her work involved advocacy on legislation, regulations and specifications. Eileen interfaced directly and extensively with various committees and volunteer leadership on topics such as member recruitment and education.

Eileen started her career as Membership Director for the Capital District YMCA and participated in the Reach Out for Youth yearly fundraising drive before moving to a government relations firm in Albany NY where she oversaw all aspects of business administrative.
