Use Your Voice
Don't miss out on the opportunity to amplify your voice on Capitol Hill! The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) hosts its Federal Advocacy Day, Capitol Hill Day, biennially. In even years, this event takes place in the spring (April or May), while in odd years, it occurs during the summer (July). It's a chance for physical therapists to directly engage with policymakers, advocate for critical issues, and shape the future of the profession. Mark your calendars and learn more about how you can participate on APTA's Capitol Hill Day Page. What is a Federal Affairs Liaison and Why It Matters
Federal Affairs Liaisons (FALs) connect each APTA chapter and section to APTA’s Government Affairs Department on federal issues. Serving as the bridge between state and national advocacy, FALs share legislative updates, coordinate grassroots engagement such as in-district visits during August Recess, and help identify key contacts within each state.
