APTA New York Advertising Policy

In alignment with APTA’s health care policy positions (HOD 06-99-13-17 and BOD 01-05-06), APTA New York opposes any arrangement in which a referral source profits from referring patients for physical therapy services.

As such, APTA New York does not accept advertising from any practice or entity where the referral source has a financial interest and refers patients to a physical therapist—or to a physical therapist assistant under their supervision—employed within that same practice.

This policy reflects our commitment to ethical practice, transparency, and putting patients’ interests first.
